Best camp of 2019

BEST CAMP EVER

Hi bloggers today I'm going to talk about our school camp also known as the best camp of 2019. Anyway let me tell you all about our camp. Firstly at school we were waiting in the junior classes in front of the school . When it was time to go we all had to be sorted out into colored groups I was in red then we lined up in the drive way and got onto the bus then we drove off. After that we reached our first stop the Hamilton Gardens we walked into the Hamilton Gardens then we all sat down in the middle of the Hamilton Gardens and had something to eat, after that we had a photo Hunt we had to look all around the garden and try to find the different things on the sheets, we had two sheets and we had to find the garden on the picture. After that we all met up in the middle of the Hamilton Garden and we handed in our sheets then we just took some photos then messed around with the fountain.

Then we got back on the bus and just kept on going it felt like forever so then we slept and played a few games on the bus then we got to the Ed Hillary/Otorohanga walkway. Then we did another challenge where we had to find things in the board's with some of New Zealands history and I would say my favourite board was the pavlova board because I really like to eat pavlova and if you dont know what pavlova is, well pavlova is a type of cake. After that we had lunch and then we handed in the sheets of paper with our answers then we went on a walk to the Jim Barker memorial playground there were lots of things there and there were tons of cool pictures and things to play with sand paintings after that we got another class photo and then we walked back to the bus. We got on the bus then just sat down and waited for a few hours in the bus as it traveled South. Our next stop was the Taumarunui school so we walked into the school and we got to play on their playground. They had a big Court so we bought some balls to play basketball or other sports and they had two play grounds and a big mountain to play on and we were there for about an hour and we got lots of photos.

Then we got on the bus again and after a few hours we made it to the Crossing Lodge we were all tired and then the people at the lodge showed us where our rooms where then we put our bags down in our room and we got ready to go into the dining room. Then after we all had a talk about camp and what we need to do we had something to eat then we had to go to sleep but the other nights we got to play games and watch movies. The next day we had to wake up at 6:00 in the morning and I dont think anyone was happy about that but we got ready anyway to get on the bus. Once we were all ready and on the right bus we had to do a count off. We drove to the mountin and surprisingly it wasn't that cold but that might have been because we were wearing thermals and our ski gear.

Then we got our skis or snowboards and our boots but they are not normal boots. We got our stuff and went to Happy Valley and played out in the snow to have some free time, so we played around for a while and then it was time for our first lesson. We walked over to our instructer and they told us what to do, the first step was to kick the part where your foot goes into untill your foot is in, but theres quite a few more steps to go over but I dont really need to talk about those because we got the hang of it pretty quickly and some of us already new how to ski. After our lesson we got to have lunch so we sat down and had something to eat and some of us used our money to buy chips or a hot chocolate. Then we headed back on to the slopes for free time or we just played in the snow, then it was time to go. We got back to the lodge had a bit of free time in our rooms then we got to do challenges like the cleanest room gets a prize then we had dinner played some games my favourite game was probably spotlight where we got to run out side and hide in the dark and the first one to find the old big fire place won. Then we had to go to bed.

Then we did the same thing every day we got our skis or snowboard on and went out on the slopes for a lesson or for free time we had lunch and basically did the samething every day. Until Friday we had to pack all our stuff and be ready to leave. We sang songs to the people at Mt Ruapehu even though that was on Thursday and we said bye and sang some songs to the people at the Crossing and said thank you. Then we got on the bus and left. After we left we stopped at the pools and luckily it was warm because it was heated so we got to play for a while and we got to have hotdogs for lunch, and the we all got back on the bus. Also after a while we got to have a quick stop at the Huka falls. Then after a few hours we had a quick stop at Hamilton Gardens we got to have somthing to eat we also thanked the parents and the bus drivers then we got a class photo and then we were on our way back to Auckland, by the time we got back to school it was quite dark and we were all happy because we got to see our Families, but sad camp was over.

Now if there was just anything I could say to the next people going on camp I would probably say to just try it and have new experiences and challenge yourself, like me challenging myself to wake up at 6:00 in the mornning and... dont forget to have fun.
